Goalkeepers' Training with Coach Yemi Siyanbola:
He is the former National Team, South-West Hockey Team, Union Bank Hockey Team, and Stallion Hockey Team Number 1 goalie. He is the current National team Goalkeeper's coach, South West Hockey Team coach, and FIH-certified. Under the guidance of the experienced, Coach Yemi Siyanbola, our aspiring goalkeepers took center stage. They honed their reflexes, positioning, and shot-stopping techniques, ensuring they were ready to guard the net with confidence. This personalized training session added an invaluable layer to their hockey journey.
Attacking and Defending Principle Sessions with FIH Certified Coach Okwudili Menyei :
Coach Okwudili was the Skipper of the Nigerian National Team as well as the Union Bank Hockey Team. He is a level 3 FIH certified coach and is currently the Head Coach of the Stallion Hockey Team. Participants dived into focused sessions that explored the intricacies of attacking and defending principles. Learning how to effectively coordinate their efforts on the field. They absorbed strategies to break through defenses and secure their own. These principles are the backbone of successful team play.
Development Training at Government College Ibadan ICT Center:
The day took an innovative turn as participants visited the Government College Ibadan ICT Center for development training. The digital domain met the hockey arena as they delved into further HTML fundamentals. This holistic approach broadened their horizons, linking technical skills with their sportsmanship.
Practical Application on the Field with Coach Tunde Odedokun:
Coach Tunde Odedokun is a Canadian-based, former Nigerian National Team Head coach for over a decade. He is the pioneer Head coach of the Union Bank Hockey Team. Coach Little as fondly called is a veteran and has also made and mentored countless other leaders in the game of Hockey. He has led Nigerian Hockey Team to victory at different stages. He also won quite a number of trophies for Union Bank Hockey Team at both local and international levels. The day culminated with a thrilling on-field experience. Participants seamlessly integrated the attacking and defending principles they learned earlier, transforming theory into practice. As they engaged in physical drills and gameplay, their understanding deepened, and they embraced teamwork in action.
